Complex situations and events arise through the interaction of a group or a system of variables. We have a number of difficulties constructing accurate mental models of complex situations. Systems thinking provides a number of thinking skills and techniques to understand, anticipate and influence a complex situation.
In the next chapter we will take an in-depth look on one of the main drivers of complexity: feedback.
